PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire interest levels of a broadcast program of the public in order to contribute to convenience of selecting a program by a user. SOLUTION: A CPU 13 accesses a search site by a URL using a LAN interface 18 and a LAN card 19, transmits a search word (title of each program in program information) to acquire the number of hits for each title. The CPU 13 considers that a broadcast program with larger numerical value is the one with high interest level of the public based on the number of hits to generate public interest level information of each broadcast program comprised of numerical values. For example, a program with more than 10,000 hits is considered as 100 points of the public interest level, the one with 5,000 hits or more and less than 10,000 hits is considered as 60 points, the one with 1,000 hits or more and less than 5,000 hits is considered as 30 points and the one with 1,000 hits or less is considered as zero point.
