PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for stopping a movement to a cutting device when a housing member is not correctly mounted in a food cutting device for horizontally cutting food product to be supplied in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: A force is applied to the food product moving downward which is supplied to a cutting wheel through an internal passage of an upper feed tube 22 of the cutting wheel 12 to press the food product to a first wall of the feed tube. The feed tube comprises a passage so as to have a lateral cross-sectional shape formed by two overlapped diameters to be off set to improve the flow of the product. The food cutting device has a structure wherein a key 20 for performing an electric power supply to a cutting means is prevented from being inserted to a switch 64 when the cutting wheel is not at an appropriate position before the electric power for driving the cutting wheel is supplied.
