<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring calories consumed during sleep, which finds calories consumed during sleep accurately by determining an intensity of body oscillations during sleep and finding calories consumed during sleep from a consumed calory based on a breathing/heartbeat oscillation and a consumed calory based on the intensity of a body motion. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus for measuring calories consumed during sleep includes a determination means for determining a breathing/heartbeat oscillation, a body motion and an intensity of the body motion, a coefficient calculation means for calculating a coefficient which is a reference value for calculating calories consumed during sleep, based on the signals for a given period of breathing/heartbeat oscillation and a sleep metabolism, a consumed calorie calculation means for calculating calories consumed during sleep, based on consumed calories according to the magnitude of each signal and the coefficient, and a storage means for storing various arithmetic expressions in advance.
