PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of conventional extendable bookends wherein they are applicable only to books of a single size, and they need be changed for different book sizes, the extendable type bookends can be easily contracted, but not be fixed, so that they need be fixed by use of vinyl tape or cord as they are contracted. SOLUTION: Recesses 3 and projections 4 are engaged with each other to store a resilient member 1 inside stoppers 2a and 2b to make a box-like form for easy storage.
