PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of an internal combustion engine capable of restarting the internal combustion engine as quickly as possible even in an unforeseen start request; and its control device. SOLUTION: In this operation method of an internal combustion engine wherein a stop stage of the internal combustion engine is introduced based on a stop request, an injection parameter and an ignition parameter are measured in the stop stage.
