RECOMBINANT PLANT PRODUCING CHICKEN INTERFERON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant plant capable of expressing a chicken interferon in the plant as a part of application of exogenous cytokines to chickens, exhibiting a biological activity and having good preservation stability.

SOLUTION: The recombinant plant produces the chicken interferon characterized in that a gene encoding a chicken interferon protein is integrated into the genomic DNA. The gene encoding the ChIFN-α (chicken interferon-α) is preferably a specific ChIFN-αKDEL gene having excellent protein accumulation in a plant cell endoplasmic reticulum and a plasmid ChIFN-αKDEL-pMLH which is a specified transfer vector increasing the expression level of the plant expression protein is preferably used.
