PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer membrane having reduced conductivity of a conductive polymer membrane, and a new environmental component evaluation sensor using the polymer membrane. SOLUTION: The polymer membrane is a membrane acquired by applying at least either of an active energy beam irradiation treatment and a chemical treatment to a part or the whole of one surface of a conductive polymer membrane having a volume resistivity of 10<SP>-3</SP>-10<SP>-5</SP>Ωcm, to thereby reduce the conductivity of a treated portion.
