A wireless transceiving unit for efficiently detecting an identifier of a receiving signal is provided to enable a receiver to receive and process incoming signals through plural communication channels at a physical layer by an indicator of a channel turning towards the receiver among the plural communication channels, so that a mobile unit can access a particular communication channel if the indicator is identical with a predicted indicator of the mobile unit. An RF(Radio Frequency) down converter(44) is equipped. A preamble processor(46) processes a preamble at a physical layer, and determines whether the preamble is identical with an ID of a WTRU(Wireless Transmit and Receive Unit). Only when the results are affirmative, a control message processor(48) processes a control message. The preamble processor further comprises a preamble decoding unit for decoding the preamble of the physical layer.
