<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overheat protecting means, used in various types of motor driving devices, wherein self-heating of a temperature transducer can be kept minimized and the temperature around the temperature transducer can be detected with accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature transducer, a first resistor, and a second resistor are connected in series in this order between a constant voltage source and GND. The voltages of the first resistor and the second resistor are supplied as a result of temperature detection. The resistance of each of the first and second resistors is set to a predetermined high value. Thus, even when the resistance value of the temperature transducer is significantly reduced in a high-temperature environment, it is possible: to suppress increase in the current passed through the temperature transducer to suppress the self-loss of the temperature transducer; and to detect the temperature around the temperature transducer with accuracy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
