PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction apparatus that is improved in development efficiency. SOLUTION: The multifunction apparatus 200 comprises hardware resources 210, a hypervisor 220, a controller system 230 and an operation part system 240. The hypervisor 220 virtualizes the hardware resources 210 into a plurality of virtual machines (split into a plurality of logical partitions) and allocates the virtual machines (logical partitions) to the controller system 230 and operation part system 240. The controller system 230 uses an OS 231, middleware 232 and various applications 233 operated on the allocated virtual machine to receive an operator's inputs and display various messages through an OS 241, middleware 242 and an operation part application 243 operated on the allocated virtual machine for various functions of the multifunction apparatus 200.
