PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a uniform finish of cooked articles by correcting the outputs of upper and lower heating elements after a certain fixed time while determining, for example, whether or not there is water in a pan in a cooking chamber. SOLUTION: The heating cooker comprises the upper and lower heating elements 5 and 6 for heating a cooking article 4 in the cooking chamber 3, a first temperature detection means A2 for detecting the temperature of the cooking chamber 3, a grill 7 on which the cooking article 4 is placed, the pan 8 on which the grill 7 is placed and which can be removed from the cooking chamber 4, a second temperature detection means B9 for detecting the temperature of the pan 8, an exhaust passage 10 for connecting the cooking chamber 3 to the outside air, and a control circuit 15 for controlling the outputs of the upper and lower heating elements 5 and 6 according to the temperatures detected by the first and second temperature detection means A2 and B9. After a certain fixed time from the start of cooking, the temperatures detected by the first and second temperature detection means A2 and B9 are compared with preset reference temperatures, and the outputs of the upper and lower heating elements 5 and 6 are corrected by the control circuit 15.
