PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type screen capable of achieving good contrast even under a bright light environment. SOLUTION: The reflection type screen 1 includes the screen body constituted by joining, in order from an observer's side, a functional layer 101 constituting the screen surface; a colored layer 103 whose hue is adjusted to a dark hue by the concentration of a color material; a light-transmissive diffusing base material 104 for diffusing image light rays 3A and 3B; and a fresnel mirror 105 for reflecting the image light 3A as nearly parallel rays of light toward the observer.
