PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine which enables retaining of the desires of players for the continuation of games even after the end of a time shortening state. SOLUTION: A certain style of pachinko game machine enables the selection of a display pattern joined with a mission performance in reference to a special mission table to heighten the possibility of being displayed on a performance display device during a period prior to the end of the time shortening state, for example, during three rotations of variation period prior to the end of the time shortening state (S50-S52). Even after the end of the time shortening state, when the mission performance is continued, background images during the time shortening state are displayed in common.
