An apparatus and a method for generating power by Tae Geuk force are provided to generate power by using repulsive force of poles of a magnet. An apparatus for generating power by Tae Geuk force includes a pair of magnets and a pair of magnetic drums. The apparatus uses force generated between S and N poles of an electromagnet, force generated between S and N poles of the magnet, repulsive force generated between N poles of the magnet, and repulsive force between S poles of the magnet. The apparatus converts the repulsive force into rotary motion. The apparatus generates power without using material defined as energy in modern science. The apparatus further includes a pair of supporting units for supporting the magnets and the magnetic drums.
