<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify installation work or wiring work of an optical subscriber terminal unit even if frequency conversion is required for an electric signal converted from an optical signal by the optical subscriber terminal unit. <P>SOLUTION: An optical subscriber terminal unit houses an opto-electric transducer 4 and a converter unit 24 within one case. The opto-electric transducer 4 receives an optical signal which is generated based on a second television signal containing a first television signal frequency-converted into a frequency band different from a regular frequency band and the optical signal to which an optical fiber cable 6 is transmitted, and outputs a fourth television signal, corresponding to the second television signal, containing a third television signal corresponding to the first television signal. The converter unit 24 demultiplexes the third television signal from the fourth television signal and frequency-converts the third television signal into a fifth television signal of the regular frequency band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
