<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a content of text data in which an index word is associated with illustration information as a dictionary and a reading material. <P>SOLUTION: In an electronic dictionary device 1, when dictionary-like text data "US patent action English-Japanese dictionary" is selected as data of a display object (Fig. (a)), and "ap" is then input as a retrieval character string, index words "appeal", "appellant's brief", etc. corresponding to the retrieval character string are read from the text data and displayed as a list on a left-hand display area of a display 10, and illustration information of the index word "appeal" selected by a cursor "suit, petition, etc." is previewed on a right-hand side display area (Fig. (b)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
