PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an electronic component containing unit 1 which can be made compact while ensuring high cooling performance and waterproof performance. SOLUTION: Air for cooling electronic components can be introduced into a containing case 11 from an air guide 18 through a gap 17 formed between the outside surface 14a of the containing case 11 and the inside surface 12c of a cover 12. A piece 14g is formed to project from the outside surface 14a of the containing case 11 toward the gap 17 on the upstream side of air flow when viewed from the air guide 18 and since a labyrinth structure for detouring air flowing toward the air guide 18 by the projection piece 14g is formed by the gap 17, the air guide 18 and the projection piece 14g, water intruding into the gap 17 is intercepted by the projection piece 14g and drops into the gap 17 without reaching the air guide 18.
