PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the occurrence of a positional deviation for forming the dots, when the contour part is to be corrected by substituting blank dots or image dots with dots with a relatively smaller size, causes the quality of the image to be deteriorated as the dots with the smaller size not located at required positions. SOLUTION: By performing a correction processing by selecting a predetermined correction pattern from information related to factors generating deviation on dot forming positions such as temperature and humidity, lapse of years, and lapse of time from the previous time of use, information on the amount of deviation on the actual dot forming positions detected, or information related to the amount of deviation on the dot forming positions inputted, a correction pattern for correcting the contour part of the image is changed from the information related to the deviation on the dot forming positions, the information on the amount of deviation on the actual dot forming positions detected, or the information related to the amount of deviation on the dot forming positions inputted, to perform the correction processing.
