The method involves providing a frame clamp (10) at a compact circuit-breaker over a main conductor (30) for electrically connecting with the circuit-breaker against a side (32) of a connection (28) protruded into the clamp. A metallic auxiliary conductor clamp (38) is inserted into the clamp from another side (36) that is turned away from the side (32). The conductor clamp is pressed against the connection when pressing the main conductor against the connection. An auxiliary conductor is fastened to the auxiliary conductor clamp. An independent claim is also included for a compact circuit breaker comprising a metallic auxiliary conductor clamp.
