The tool has a cleaning section, which spatial extension is equal to the thin width of a case holder (2) of a carbon brush. The cleaning section is held at a profile (3) connected with a handle, where a distance between the cleaning section and the handle is greater than the height of the case holder of the carbon brush. The cleaning section is a plate part (4), which is arranged at a free end of the profile and the handle is arranged at the other free end of the profile.
