<p>In the molding mass (5) contained in the mold (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b), a controller (9) determines the duration, location and/or intensity of high frequency radiation, to set up a temperature gradient. This decreases from the interior of the mass, to the outer edge regions. Additional molding mass is introduced during the outward progression of hardening. It is injected into the still-fluid outer regions. The high frequency radiation is at a wavelength of 1-1000 mm. It is at a constant or variable wavelength. The mass inside, is subjected to microwave radiation by distributed sources (8) integrated into the mold. To set up the temperature gradient, they are controlled individually or in groups. An injection unit (3, 4) and an injection channel (6) introduce additional molding mass during hardening, into the outer, still-fluid regions. Screening prevents microwaves from reaching the exterior. An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR corresponding equipment.</p> |
