PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system capable of more surely determining whether radio waves of another radio communication system are present around a radio communication station device.

SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of radio base stations 10 communicating with radio terminals being present in service areas using radio signals of frequency bands allocated in communication start comprises at least a radio wave detection antenna 10b for measuring signal strength of radio signals around the relevant radio base station regarding all frequency bands to be utilized; a communication frequency band determination unit 10e for determining the frequency band of radio signals used for communication between a radio wave detector 10c and a radio terminal; and an inter-base station interface unit 10d for transmitting/receiving information to/from one another among the plurality of radio base stations, wherein the measurement result of the signal strength measured by the radio wave detector 10c is exchanged with another radio base station, an idle frequency around the present radio communication station device is extracted on the basis of the measurement result of each signal strength of the present/other radio communication station device, and the frequency band to be used for communicating with the radio terminal is determined.
