PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device that does not require work of high precision alignment between a color filter and a sealing board, and a provide a method for manufacturing the electro-optical device, and electronic equipment therefor. SOLUTION: In the positions corresponding to display pixels 5R, 5G, and 5B, an array board 2 comprises a reddening color conversion layer FR converting white light into red light, a greening color conversion layer FG converting white light into green light, and a bluing color conversion layer FB converting white light into blue light respectively. This eliminates a need of separately fabricating a color filter and attaching it to the array board 2, unlike a conventional case.
