PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the total strength of a heating member decreases with some joining method when a material having a low Curie temperature is joined so as to reduce influence of a rise in temperature of a heating member end on peripheral components. SOLUTION: An image heating device having a coil which is supplied with electric power to produce magnetic flux, and an image heating member which heats an image on a recording material having a first conductive layer with a first Curie temperature generating heat with the magnetic flux produced by the coil is characterized in that at the end of the image heating member outside a maximum-width area of the conveyed recording material, the first conductive layer is provided with a second conductive layer with a second Curie temperature lower than the first Curie temperature.
