PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of inhibiting drop of control accuracy of exhaust gas recirculation quantity during exhaust gas recirculation even on the internal combustion engine provided with a plurality of throttle valves. SOLUTION: This device is applied to the internal combustion engine 1 provided with an intake air passage 4 connected to an intake manifold 2C divided to branch passages 4R, 4L provided on a right and a left bank 2R, 2L and having each branch passages 4R, 4L commonly provided on the right and the left bank 2R, 2L, a throttle valve 7 provided on each branch passage 4R, 4L and capable of opening adjustment between a full close position and a full open position, and an exhaust gas recirculation device 13 for re-circulating exhaust gas to the intake passage 4. When exhaust gas is re-circulated to the intake passage 4 by the exhaust gas recirculation device 13, one throttle valve 7 is set to the full close position and opening of another throttle valve is controlled.
