A light-emitting source, a backlight unit using the same, and a display device having the same are provided to prevent color mixture in sequential driving and improve color reproduction characteristic by controlling light diffusion and providing a uniform brightness distribution. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) comprises a liquid crystal panel(2200), a backlight unit, and an upper chassis(2400). The backlight unit comprises a light-emitting source(300) composed of a base plate(350) and a plurality of light-emitting chips arranged at the upper part of the base plate. Also the backlight unit comprises sidewalls(320), a diffusion sheet(360), and prism sheets(380). The sidewalls are formed at the outline of the base plate. The diffusion sheet and the prism sheets are installed at the upper part of the base plate where the light-emitting chips are arranged. In addition, the backlight unit comprises a lower chassis(400) which accepts the light-emitting source, the diffusion sheet, and the prism sheets. |
