PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a mischucking and a seaming defect in a can lid. SOLUTION: The can lid 1 has a center panel 10 formed with an annular groove 11 at the outer circumferential edge and a chuck wall 15 and a seaming panel 20 provided in an extended manner from the outer circumferential edge of the annular groove 11; wherein the inclination angleθof the chuck wall 15 is formed to be 40 to 60°and the seaming panel 20 has a seaming panel radius part 21 having an outer face curvature radius R1, a first seaming wall part 22 having an outer face curvature radius R2, a second seaming wall part 23 having an outer face curvature radius R3, and a cover hook part 24 having an outer face curvature radius R4 which are connected in succession from the chuck wall side outwards; and wherein the distal end of the cover hood part 24 faces to the central direction of the can lid; and wherein the curvature radii of the respective parts satisfy the relations of R2>R1>R4 and also R2≥R3>R4, and further the diametrical distance X from the maximum outer circumference of the can lid to the distal end of the cover hook part 24 is formed to be 0.2 to 3.0 mm.
