A container for a food product comprises an open topped bag 50 and a channel shaped holder 51 for the bag 50 formed in card. The channel shaped holder 51 is provided with a pair of side walls 52, 55, adhered to the sides of the bag 50, and a base 53 having convex fold lines 54, 56 with the side walls 52, 55, and a straight central fold line 60. The arrangement is such that the base 53 can snap 'over' centre' into an inverted V form to hold the side walls 52, 55 of the channel 51 apart and thereby spread the bag 50 open. The convexly curved fold lines 54, 56 extend generally parallel to one another at their ends to form corner regions, when the holder 51 is folded into the channel form, on which the holder 51 can sit. The holder 51 may have a lid 57. |
