A system and a method for a partial video capturing service are provided to register movie screening information to a server and notify the server a corresponding point of time when a user wants to review a desired part of a movie through a mobile communication terminal during movie screening, thereby providing the movie of a corresponding part to the user. A video providing server acquires movie information and running time information which a user views currently on the basis of a mobile communication terminal number if a capture request signal is received from a mobile communication terminal(10), and captures a certain section of the movie on the basis of the receive time of the capture request signal and provides the captured movie to the mobile communication terminal. The mobile communication terminal generates the capture request signal as a user inputs a specific button and transmits the capture request signal to the video providing server.
