The invention relates to a metal cladding support bracket assembly 70 for use in roof or wall cladding systems. The bracket assembly 70 comprises a body member 72 with an elongate formation 74 of uniform profile along one edge. The body member 72 has formations 80 adjacent an opposite parallel edge for engagement with corresponding formations 102 on a base member 90, so that the base member 90 is secured to the body member 74 such that it extends to one side of the base member 90. A later embodiment relates to a method of forming a cladding support bracket assembly (170 figure 9) by deforming the base member (190 figure 10) so that the formations (220 figure 10) are drawn together and into engagement with the formations 80 on the body member. |
