A disc brake having a parking function is provided to reduce a length of the disc brake in an axial direction by disposing an electric motor in parallel to a drive shaft. A disc brake having a parking function comprises a piston(14) for pressing friction pads(11,12), a caliper housing(13) for receiving the piston, a drive shaft(23), which is installed in a cylinder part and has a male screw part, a pressing sleeve, which is installed in the piston and has a female screw part, an electric motor(25) and a speed-reduction device(40) for reducing a rotation speed of the electric motor. The caliper housing has the cylinder part to which hydraulic pressure is applied. A casing(45) receives the electric motor and the speed-reduction device. The electric motor is disposed in the casing in parallel to an axial direction of the drive shaft.
