[Also in Group XXV] A sliding door assembly comprises a rectangular frame 12 disposed in a vertical plane slidably with respect to a door opening, and a rigid door 11 mounted within the frame displaceably in a lateral sense with respect to the latter into and out of engagement with a sealing gasket 10 around the door opening. The door is supported by links 13 pivoted at their respective ends to the door and frame, and is displaced by means of a link 28 pivoted at 29 to the door and formed with a slot 27 co-operating with a pin 26 carried by a crank arm 25 driven by an electric motor 22 mounted on the frame. The latter may be supported on a floor track or may be suspended from carriages running on an overhead track. |
