A catalyst for a fuel-reforming reaction and a method for producing hydrogen using the same are provided to improve activity and hydrogen selectivity of the catalyst, thereby selectively producing high-purity hydrogen, as a source of a fuel cell, at a low temperature. A catalyst for a fuel-reforming reaction is used to obtain hydrogen through fuel reformation of hydrocarbon hydrogenated at a temperature of 60-250°C. The catalyst contains a metal catalyst and a carrier supporting the metal catalyst. The metal catalyst includes at least one active component A, which is selected from a group consisting of Pt, Pd, Ir, Rh, and Ru, and at least one active component B including at least one metal, which is selected from a group consisting of Mo, V, W, Cr, Re, Co, Ce, and Fe, oxides thereof, alloys thereof, or mixtures thereof. The catalyst contains 0.1-20 wt% of the active component A based on the active component B. Further, the carrier is one or more selected from a group consisting of Al2O3, TiO2, ZrO2, SiO2, YSZ, Al2O3-SiO2 and CeO2. |
