METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SCHEDULING DATA CONSIDERING POWER OF THE DATA IN A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A data scheduling method for considering power in a communication system and a device are provided to allocate bursts in order to minimize wasted slots efficiently by considering the number of null padded slots and size of bursts in burst allocation areas of downlink frames, thereby maximizing overall resource utility of the system. A base station performs qeueue scheduling for determining priorities of each connection for data bursts to be transmitted to each service class(202). The base station allocates power of bursts to boosting areas based on CINR(Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratio) values measured for each cell user(204). The base station determines map size by predicting map overheads necessary for the data bursts to be transmitted(206). The base station carries out data burst concatenation(208), and allocates the data bursts to data burst areas of downlink frames according to predetermined rules(210).
