A separable robot cleaner is provided to prevent interference with an external obstacle by installing a handle simply operated to be separated from a handy cleaner. A separable robot cleaner comprises a main body(110), a handy cleaner, and a handle(190). The main body has a sensor module for detecting an obstacle, a control module for providing the traveling information by calculating the information for the obstacle detected from the sensor module, and a traveling module for traveling a cleaning area by the traveling information of the control module. The handy cleaner separated from the main body has a battery module(140) for supplying the power to each module and the cleaning module for sucking dust in the cleaning area. The handle installed at the handy cleaner is embedded in the handy cleaner to mount the handy cleaner on the main body, and projected from the handy cleaner to separate the handy cleaner from the main body.
