A method and an apparatus for removing the seed of a Japanese apricot are provided to maintain the crispy taste of the Japanese apricot without damaging to its flesh. A method for removing the seed of a Japanese apricot comprises the steps of: setting a Japanese apricot holder; fixing a Japanese apricot in a Japanese apricot receiving part for the stalk to turn downward; setting a Japanese apricot seed removing device; and passing the Japanese apricot seed removing device through the Japanese apricot to forcibly discharge its seed into a seed discharge hole. An apparatus for removing the seed of a Japanese apricot comprises: a cylinder-shaped Japanese apricot holder(3) which has a seed discharge hole(3c) made in the center of the bottom plate, a projection(3a) formed at the upper circumferential surface, and a Japanese apricot receiving part(3b), wherein the diameter of the seed discharge hole is smaller than that of the Japanese apricot and larger than that of the seed; and a Japanese apricot seed removing device(7) which cuts the upper flesh of the Japanese apricot and has an insertion groove and three tools(7a), wherein the width of the insertion groove is smaller than the diameter of the Japanese apricot and the tools are passed through the Japanese apricot. |
