A method for compensating the brightness of an LCD panel is provided to measure and store the entire brightness of the LCD panel in a pixel unit by using a CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) camera, control an output unit for controlling the LCD panel to adjust the output of the LCD panel in a part of which the brightness is not approached to a desired brightness value, thereby removing a minute spot through accurate brightness compensation and improving the quality of a screen. A method for compensating the brightness of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel comprises the following steps of: measuring the entire brightness of the LCD panel in a pixel unit(S10); determining and storing the position and brightness of each of pixel units in the LCD panel(S20); transmitting the stored position and brightness to a main controller and allowing the main controller to determine the position and brightness difference of a part of which the brightness is not approached to a desired reference brightness value through the received position and brightness(S30,S40); storing the determined position and brightness difference in a memory unit(S50); and outputting the position and brightness difference from the memory unit during the control of the LCD panel to compensate the output of the LCD panel in the pixel unit and operate the LCD panel(S60). |
