摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# A surface treatment plant, with treatment solution tanks, a treatment booth (1) with a solution suction device (36) and a common solution supply circuit (including a distribution line (2) and a solution supplying suction line (3)), has compressed air generator(s) (11) and compressed air circulation circuit(s) (10), connected to the common circuit to supply compressed air to purge the distribution and suction lines. #CMT# : #/CMT# A surface treatment plant comprises several treatment solution tanks (provided with valved delivery lines and recycling lines); a treatment booth (1) with a solution suction device (36); and a common circuit to the storage tanks for supplying solutions, including a distribution line (2) having a tank section (5) (into which the tank lines open) and a suction line (3) connecting the distribution line to the suction device to supply solution. The novel features are that the plant includes compressed air generator(s) (11) and compressed air circulation circuit(s) (10); and the common circuit has a compressed air inlet connection (14) to the compressed air line, to supply compressed air to purge the distribution and suction lines. An independent claim is included for a corresponding surface treatment method using the plant, in which after every treatment operation compressed air is supplied into the common circuit to purge at least the distribution and suction lines. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The plant is useful for treating (e.g. cleaning, degreasing, pickling, scouring, chroming or phosphating) surfaces of articles, generally before applying a paint or other coating. In particular several different surface treatments (e.g. base treatment, rinsing, acid treatment, rinsing and final coating) are carried out in succession in a single booth. The articles are preferably metal (specifically aluminum or steel)joinery profiles (e.g. for window frames), although treatment of non-metallic articles (e.g. of plastics) is also possible. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# Reduced amounts of liquid are entrained from one storage tank into another; in particular entrainment of corrosive or preparation solutions are entrained into the next rinsing solution. The booth is compact and simple to construct and utilize, and has a low water and energy requirement. The same batch of water (or solution) can be reused several times. Storage of dangerous and toxic materials is minimized. At least one rinsing solution storage tank is included, together with lines for delivering and recycling the solution. The suction line (3) is attached to the downstream end of the distribution line (2), which has a pump downstream of the tank section (5) (for circulating treatment solutiom from the tank section to the suction line) and a first compressed air inlet (14) at its downstream end. Each storage tank has its own single tank line for delivering and recycling the contained treatment solution; and the common circuit has a valved evacuation line (4) connecting a evacuation opening (37), located in the booth floor (38), to the distribution line downstream of the tank section.
