<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire protection attachment surely preventing other fire control area from catching fire through a drain pipe or a conduit of a joint in fire breaking, by attaching the fire protection attachment to the drain pipe or joint which penetrate fire control area such as floors or walls of a building such as mid-to-high-rise apartment house, even when a resin pipe that is light-weight and easy to be processed is used for a riser connected with the drain pipe or joint. <P>SOLUTION: The fire protection attachment 30 is attached to a drain pipe 14 or a joint 14 penetrating fire control area such as floors or walls of a building such as a mid-to-high-rise apartment house. The fire protection attachment comprises: an annular installation part 31 attached to a lower end part of the drain pipe 14 or joint 14; and a holding member constituted of a plurality of pressing plates 31 pressing and holding a circumferential surface of an end part of a resin riser 12 connected with the drain pipe 14 or the joint 14.
