PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel whose assembly accuracy has been improved, and also to provide optical equipment. SOLUTION: The lens barrel 2 includes a housing section 40 which incorporates a first housing part 40U and a second housing part 40L directly connected to the first housing part along the optical axis A2 of a photographing optical system, and holds the composing elements of the photographing optical system. The lens barrel 2 also includes support sections 44 and 48 disposed at least either on the first housing part 40U or on second housing part 40L, and supporting at least either a blur correcting movable part 81 having a blur correcting optical system L3 and disposed so as to be movable relative to the housing 40 during blur correction, or a shutter part 70 passing or intercepting light by moving between an opening position and closing position.
