PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit provided with a safety device, and a massager provided with the power unit, in which the OFF-state of a power switch of a massager main body is prohibited from being easily canceled, and children or infants are prohibited from easily operating the power unit. SOLUTION: A case type power box 21a is provided with a power switch button 22a having ON/OFF changing functions, and a safety device 3a provided with a lock mechanism for controlling supply of power to the massager main body 1a. A key lock device 31a is composed in such a way that a key 313a is rotated to cancel the OFF-state of supply of power to the massager main body 1a to provide the safety device 3a included. As the key 313a is rotated from a state in which it is directed in the direction of a mark 314a indicating a key insertable/removable position of the key, the OFF state of supply of power to the massager main body 1a is canceled.
