PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message transfer system, which can prevent increase of a storage area used for registration of transmission source information, and can prevent deterioration of efficiency in retrieving the transmission source information when determining propriety of message transfer, and furthermore, can prevent restriction of a registration count of the transmission source information. SOLUTION: A bit pattern and user information are associated with each other and held. A bit pattern is computed from the transmission source information on a transmission source to which a user permits message transfer, logic operation OR is performed for the held bit pattern and the computed bit pattern, the bit pattern of the resultant thus obtained is registered. A bit pattern is computed from the transmission source information included in a message when the message is received, the held bit pattern is compared with the computed bit pattern, and it is controlled so as to transfer the message to the user on the basis of the comparison result.
