<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the magnetic properties and thermal stability of a rare earth magnet alloy without using Tb, Dy and Ho being expensive rare metals. <P>SOLUTION: The rare earth magnet alloy has a composition comprising yttrium (Y) as an essential element in addition to praseodymium (Pr), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), titanium (Ti), boron (B) and silicon (Si). The above composition is expressed by the general formula of Pr<SB>x</SB>Fe<SB>100-x-y-z-o-p-q</SB>Co<SB>y</SB>Ti<SB>z</SB>B<SB>o</SB>Y<SB>p</SB>Si<SB>q</SB>; wherein, x=10.0 to 13.0, y=7.5 to 10.5, z=0.1 to 2.0, o=10.5 to 14.0, p=0.5 to 1.2, and q=0 to 1.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
