<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector manufacturing method for preventing the occurrence of stress concentration or heat concentration while preventing cut ends from becoming sharp when a reflector as a light source device for a thin projector or a projector is partially cut off, to provide a light source device using the reflector, and to provide a projector using the light source. <P>SOLUTION: The reflector is manufactured as follows. Glass is pressed to form a shape having a bulged part 147 vertically protruding from a body part 146 and a lamp fixing part 135 protruding from the rear of the body part 146. A reflecting face is formed on the inner face of the casted shaped-article and the bulged part 147 is cut and removed. Consequently, an upper cut part 133 and a lower cut part 134, respectively having a planar cut face while having a rising face 148 from the reflecting face to the cut face, are formed.
