PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a certain collation performance and a security level, even when similar face patterns exist in a face collating dictionary. SOLUTION: When the plurality of similar face patterns are registered in the dictionary, the similar face patterns are classified as a similar group, and specified processing different from usual collation processing determines whether, the face patterns belonging to the similar group can be collated.
