PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprocket generating suppressed impact noise and a take-up wheel generating suppressed impact noise when a conveyor chain is engaged therewith. SOLUTION: This sprocket S is formed by attaching cushion members 4 on the side surface of a sprocket body 1. The cushion members are rolled ones having the axes on straightlines extending from the center C of the sprocket body to the centers of engagement parts 2, and have the axes at equal intervals from the center of the sprocket body. The take-up wheel may use the sprocket as a wheel. In this case, when the adjacent two of the connection parts of the conveyor chain are engaged with the two adjacent engagement parts, a part of the inner plate or the outer plate of the conveyor chain is brought into contact with the peripheral edge of at least one cushion member of the two cushion members in proximity to the adjacent engagement parts.
