The device has an imaging system (2) e.g. x-ray-computed tomography system, and a magnetic system (12) for producing a high frequency magnetic alternating field for treatment of tumors (20), which are marked with ferritic nano-particles (22). The imaging system has a retaining unit (4) for producing a sectional image of a body region of a patient, where the retaining unit has a central opening (8) for introduction of a patient bearing table (10). A solenoid coil is arranged in the retainer unit, where a coil axis of the coil runs parallel to a center axis (14) of the opening.
