The device has a gripping carriage (1) with sheet fixing units, which are driven to a track independent of each other and are guided to a guide rail (2). A motor consists of a rotor and stator and is attached to the gripping carriage. A conductor loop is formed along the track, where energy and signals are transferable between the conductor loop and the gripping carriage. Capacitors are provided for compensating stretching inductance of the conductor loop.
