The fluid pump has a conveying chamber (14) connecting an inlet with an outlet of a housing (12). A rotatably driven, axially fixed primary pump wheel is provided with the extent teeth, which is engaged with the peripheral teeth of a secondary pump wheel for conveying the fluid from the inlet to the outlet. The secondary pump wheel is rotatably supported on an adjustment piston (26) relative to the adjustment piston in an axially immovable manner. The adjustment piston is pre-stressed in a direction of rotation around an axle.
