The lifting device has a carrier unit (4) provided in an opening (1) of a ceiling (2). The opening is formed as a bushing. A fixing unit (5) stays in connection with a lifting unit (3), and is adjustable along the carrier unit in such a manner that a steeples distance of the lifting unit is adjustable with respect to each other. The carrier unit is made of a profiled material e.g. metal, light alloy, plastic, wood, stone, and/or bonding material. The assembly and parts of the device are provided below the ceiling and extends into a free area (8) in a freely hanged manner.
